Kort Duce Photography bio picture

WELCOME TO MY BLOG!

I have been a professional photographer for 22 years.

For the past 10 years Idaho Falls, Idaho has been my home.

Action motorsports photography is my specialty, but I am also strong at editorial, commercial and industrial photography.

In my free time I love acrylic painting on large canvas.

Currently I am a photographer for Communication Designs, which contracts for the Department of Energy at the Idaho National Laboratory and the Idaho Cleanup Project. I have radworker II training and hazwoper certification. This permits me to enter Radiation Buffer Areas, Radiation Areas and Contaminated Areas.

On top of this I am the chief photographer for American Snowmobiler magazine and contract with Yamaha Snowmobiles to provide photography for new model sleds.

I spend part of my time raising my family. My schedule is fairly flexible, so if one plans I can meet almost any deadline.

“Be passionate about what you want to do in life. If you don’t have a passion it shows. My wife often teases me that I live, eat and breathe photography. I admit that I do, almost to a fault, but without that drive I would not be fortunate to be making a living doing what I love. Keep a good attitude, strive for excellence and always try to grow as a photographer and as a person.”

POPPY FLOWERS…

My mother-in-law asked me to take a picture of her poppy flowers. She wanted an 8×10 print for one of her guest bedrooms. The crop was on its last leg and did not look fresh so I had to move in close to hide the wilting and decay. Overalls just did not look right. Towards...

TRIANGLE RANCH, FORSYTH, MONTANA…

After camping at Ennis, Montana, we headed for an educational tour of Lewis and Clark Caverns near Three Forks and then headed to Billings to drop off the younger kids. My nephew Kadrian accompanied me to Forsyth to visit Aunt Barb’s ranch. The Triangle Ranch is located just a couple miles north and west of...

This past week I packed up our tent trailer, my kids and my niece and nephew and headed to Montana. Kortny had to work and I did not have anything booked, so I decided to take the kids on an adventure. What a great time! On Tuesday afternoon we left and all decided to stay...

IDAHO STEEL PRODUCTS

This week I took pictures at Idaho Steel Products. They have manufactured food processing equipment since 1918. Today, they claim to be the only “one-stop shop” business in the United States for food processing equipment. They design, build, install and instruct food industries on how to use their equipment. Almost every french fry, hash brown...

FLU VACCINE PICTURES FOR POST REGISTER.

In late September 2009 I photographed 2010 flu vaccines for the Post Register’s Medical Guide. I setup my studio lights in an examine room at the Eastern Idaho Public Health District and waited for patients, or their parents, to consent and sign waiver forms so I could take pictures. This happened on a Friday that...
